Advanced Framing Techniques
Advanced framing is a technique used to reduce the amount of lumber used and waste generated. These techniques thus reduce the amount of material and labor costs along with helping the environment by not depending on as many mature trees. One example of an advanced framing technique is spacing wall studs 24 inch on-center. Not only does this technique result in a structurally sound home that uses less lumber and generates less waste, but it also creates a more energy efficient home by replacing the lumber with insulation material. By having more wall space consisting of insulation, R-value is improved throughout the home.
